Had a welcome change to Cherry St (Cemetery Hill) in Columbia, IL-route joined that hill about 2/3rds up.  Who said Illinois was flat?  #happybicyclechick

May 5, 2015 9 miles Trailblazer Bikes-Inaugural ride “Cycle de Mayo” fun! Short trip to Sunset Park at the Missouri river and back through St. Ferdinand Park…Enjoyed Margaritas and tamales at Ruiz Mexican on Lindbergh Blvd, Florissant MO.

May 4, 2015 17.25 miles Five-Hills Route:  This loop covers Fee Fee Rd, Marine Ave, Amiot, Bookbinder and Pattonville High School Hill.

May 3, 2015 38 miles, today I set out to find the best route to Trailblazer Bikes in Florissant, MO.  As I mentioned in an earlier post, a summer goal is to leave my car parked and ride my bike to destinations whenever possible.  This morning the first route meandered through one subdivision after another subdivision.  I was trying to use word association with the street names and create a story to recite to myself when riding; but the morning quickly became “U-turn” day….I gave up!  Now on Howdershell Rd heading West back to my house, passed Tony’s Donuts (other location) you guess it “U-turn” for a donut break.  My nose enjoyed the aroma of donuts long before I saw the sign.                                               Northwest County is not flat! Lots of inclines but also rode Riverwoods Trail another section of the Great Rivers Greenway…returning to Trailblazer Bikes, rode by two young brothers selling lemonade and the best rice krispy treat I have had in a long time!  #happybicyclechick

…Sunrise sunshine ride

…May 2, 2015 almost 15 miles…Up and out at sunrise for a “quickie” 😉 …………..quick morning bike ride!  Left the house for Creve Coeur Park.  Made a short trip to the recycling center on Interstate Dr. as it has a nice grade back up to McKelvey Rd.  Also decided to check out the Ameren Renewable Energy station by Pattonville High School. Nice thing about this route it has lots of varying terrain. Only real challenge-the aroma waffling from Tony’s Donuts, so tempting, thank goodness “Ruby” kept rolling on by…..Early morning ride’s are the best!    #happybicyclechick
